The completed bridge located in Trail, BC runs over the Columbia River. The bridge was designed by COWI features single-leg tower pole masts , a deck, cables, and lighting. The bridge is 305 metres (1000 feet) long; one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in North America. DMD undertook design of the electrical system which included LED walkway lighting and the design of full colour changing LED theatrical type lighting system with DMX control to highlite the structure and cables. The colour changing bridge lighting was designed using rendering software to provide the cleint with photomertically correct lighting effects in the actual existing night-time setting (see rendering below). The colour changing LED system was not installed as part of this work however is being considered for a later date.
