BC Hydro Customer Build Program was developed to improve service to developers and civil consultants. Starting in November 2012, developers of residential projects in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island may retain the services of Customer Build Certified Service Providers such as DMD Power Engineering Ltd to deliver turnkey design, project management, material procurement and construction of underground residential distribution (URD) infrastructure for takeover by BC Hydro. DMD completed the design of 25km of 25kV overhead BC Hydro power line from Good Hope Lake to Jade City in Northern BC.
