DMD have a luminous intensity meter to better assess and measure the offsite impacts of roadway, high mast, and sports lighting installations. This meter measures luminous intensity in candlepower which is defined in CIE Guide on the Limitation of the Effects of Obtrusive Light and the International Dark-Sky Association Criteria for Community Friendly Outdoor Sports Lighting v1.0. This meter is actually very new to the market. DMD will also be using the meter to assess and evaluate LED streetlights.
