Kamloops Sandman Centre – LED Conversion Project

DMD have been retained to upgrade lighting and controls at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops (home of the WHL Kamloops Blazers) which seats approximately 5500 spectators. The lighting is being designed to WHL and NHL standards for TV broadcast. Lighting will feature DMX control which shall interface with other building lighting systems to optimize energy usage. DMD is on the IES Lighting Science Advisory Panel

Our president, Don McLean, has been named as a member on the Illuminating Engineering Society Advisory Panel. The IES Advisory Panels work strategically with IES Staff to determine the need for addressing new lighting topics, and in aligning committees to ensure collaboration between technical committees. The Advisory Panel members act as mentors and collaborators to the committees, guiding them through the process of developing Standards, coordinating efforts between committees, and facilitating communication with IES staff. Incorporated in May 2000, DMD have reached their 6,000th project. This milestone was achieved in our 17th year of operation.
